Yes, we've considered adding one more to our little brood. Probably a lot of those feelings come from the fact that Susan and I both grew up with large families (seven kids in her family, nine in mine). We had a lot of fun with our large families growing up. The memories of cross country trips all crammed into one vehicle are priceless.
So what's one more? Five kids isn't that much different than four. The food budget isn't going to swell that much. The diapers don't seem to ever go away, but my mother had diapers in her house for over 15 years, so why should I complain?
We haven't entirely ruled out another rug-rat, but we aren't entirely convinced that we want to add one more either. I, for one, would like to retire someday and travel with Susan before we get "old" and can't enjoy it (but I need to remember that traveling at the age of 70+ can still be a lot of fun). Susan would like to return to work someday and hold adult conversations (but what Susan doesn't realize is that the professional world, unfortunately, lacks a lot of adult conversation, too).
So, there it is. Who knows what'll happen?
